Don't Forget…

Thanks to Olga Quinn

When I first started doing hair for a living I didn't put much thought into what kind of website I would have. I just assumed someone else would build for me down the line, but in retrospect, that was not the best decision.

What I should've done was check domain names, chosen a hosting package and hired a designer right from the start. That would have saved me so much time and hassle in the long run. Either way, I had to slap a site together once I hit it big, and it didn't exactly turn out the way I had planned. I wish I'd had more time to make it exactly the way I wanted it and get it just right… I know I probably lost some clients along the way since my site was less professional than it should've been.

Hindsight is always 2020, and now I know, but just a word of advice from a small business owner, don't neglect your website! It's just as important as any other aspect of your business!

Make Quick Cash Over and Over Again

Get paid $5 to do things for people they either don't know how to do or are too lazy to do. Fiverr is a place where you can offer your services for $5.

You can search the site for things people want someone to do and if you feel you can complete a task for them you can then contact them and do what they need. This site also allows you to post things you need someone to do for you.

The pros: you can post easy things and make quick cash. You can find people to do something for you, at a cheap price. The site does pay. PROOF OF PAYMENT

The cons: Fiverr takes $1 and PayPal (the only way they pay) takes a 2% fee, so your $5 payment suddenly turns into $3.92

Tip: PayPal fee for withdrawal is 2% of the withdrawn sum up to a maximum of $1. This means that when you withdraw $4, PayPal fee will be $0.08 and if you withdraw $100, PayPal fee will be $1. So, if you are not in a hurry to withdraw your funds, it is better to wait until you earn more than $50 before you withdraw - this way you will save a little money.
