M&A Advisors

If you have a business and are looking into chemical mergers and acquisitions your first thought may likely be that you need to find a chemical investment bank that is best suited to handle all your investment needs as well as being well versed in all that has to do with chemical advisory.

Making such a huge investment is a major step for any company, big or small. You should always look for a merger and acquisition advisory that is well versed in all areas of the financial aspect of such an acquisition. There are many steps an adviser should take, on their own, without you having to ask.

Two of the most important areas are making sure you gain advice on proposed financing arrangements, and that the adviser will be working with the proposed finance provider. The institution you chose should also have significant oversight of the production of transaction documentation, as well as be in close co-operation with any of your legal advisers.

Manufacturing in Mexico is an Advantage

During a time in America where many manufactures have decided to take jobs overseas, many companies have decided to take jobs to Mexico. This is a win for U.S citizens. Yes, it does remove jobs but in many cases, the money earned by Mexican workers comes back to the United States to help support family members living here.

Not only does the currency earned in  Mexico help everyone in the United States, it also lowers the cost of these goods as they are imported back into the country. For example, in 2004, C.F.Martin & Co. started manufacturing in Mexico. At the time, Martin transferred their string division from Nazareth to Mexico. No one in Nazareth lost their jobs. Every employee was cross trained to help build guitars. Eventually Martin trained all of the workers in their Mexico plant to build guitars as well. Currently Martin manufactures Backpackers, DXM and strings in Mexico.

When imported back into the United States, these guitars offer a great entry-level price range into the world of Martin guitars for those who otherwise could not afford a Martin. Martin keeps prices low and quality high by utilizing he skilled workers at their Mexico plant. This is simply one small example of how manufacturing in Mexico offers a high-quality advantage for companies and the U.S. consumer.

Listen to your customers

Understanding what customers really want from a product, brand or company is a painstaking and expensive endeavor that usually results in a constant revolving door os ever-changing data. Consumer insights have changed the way many companies do business. As an example, the Mt. Dew brand cola recently developed three new cola flavors based solely off of customer feedback and suggestions. It's highly important to listen to your customer feedback whether it's good or bad.

If you are running a small business don't think for a second that you can get away with a half-hearted attempt at listening to your customer's when they tell you something you don't want to hear. Even if it's only one customer. Chances are, if one has an issue with your company, other's have the same issue. Its equally important not to ignore positive feedback. If you get rave reviews, look at how you can build on that information to better all of your customer's experiences with your company.

I was taught at an early age that feedback is a gift. If you look that gift in the mouth and run with the information you will always experience more success than if you simply burry your head in the sand.

Getting Creative for Dinner

Thanks to Lemuel Craft

What did we do ten years ago before every one had the internet in their home? The answer to every question and solution for every problem is right at our fingertips. Thanks to our hughes internet I can find out anything I need to know. It’s especially handy when I’m trying to avoid a trip to the grocery storeand come up with a recipe using what I have in the pantry. I’ve found some new favorites as well as had some misses.

Fortunately my family is pretty forgiving and I typically keep a frozen pizza for those nights when recipes.com has steered my wrong. One of our recent favorites was a mango couscous. I had some cilantro left from making chili and salsa and hated for it to go to waste. Matched with a random jalapeno (also left from chili and salsa making) some thawed mango from the freezer and a box f instant cousous, it was just like something we would have in a restaurant, especially when I served it with a piece of grilled tuna!

Boss' Advice

This guest post from Lewis Beck

The other day my boss sent me an e-mail and instructed me to “click here to keep my job.”What can I say? Is not the most verbose man in the world. As it turns out what he wanted me to do was find a way to streamline some of the technology at our office and now I feel really good about my position at the company. I feel like because I'm the youngest person here I have a lot of ground to cover and a lot to prove when it comes to pulling my weight at the office.

Who would've thought I could do all that in one fell swoop just by making sure I had all of our technology needs covered. I love being an assistant because I feel like I get to have a hand in everything and I'm not tied down to one particular job responsibility. I'm learning a lot about how this small business functions and I know that I'm becoming a more essential part of day-to-day operations here at the office.

Merger and Acquisition Advisory Services for Businesses

There has been significant restructuring of the investment banking industry as a result of the global financial crisis. If you have a business and are looking into chemical mergers and acquisitions or even simply needing chemical advisory for the next step in building your business, consider working with a well established firm or a chemical investment bank to not only advise you but help with the process.

One of the most important jobs of the financial adviser is to be able to provide equity research on both the bidder and the target, so you can make an informed decision without unwanted financial surprises.

Prior to committing to any company for such a huge transaction, always be sure to do research about who they are, where they are located, and if possible, who their past clients were or who their current clients are. Be advised, however, that often some of that information is not open to the public.
